Update.....

What a couple of weeks!  Let me be the first to say that I am so glad we are off this weekend. Although it will be pretty one day and nasty and cold the next two days, we are looking forward to our short time off.  Nick is itching to get out with Blake and cut the grass but it has been so wet, so we are waiting for it to dry up some.  Maybe next weekend for them. We are still waiting to hear about his school acceptance.  Hopefully we will know something the first week in April.  Please keep him in your prayers for that.  Blake is doing great with his allergy shots.  He doesn't like the actual shot, so we try to get 2 people to stick him at the same time.  They reward him with a sucker and stickers and instantly he forgets what just happened.  We have him on a new antihistamine and that also seems to be working as well.  Maybe, we FINALLY have him on the mend.  School is going great for him.  He seems to be adjusting to his new class very well and we can't wait to see the displays on the wall from the activities they have been doing.  However, what comes with the good, comes with the bad.  Another child threw a toy at him and hit him in the eye.  It was red for a couple of days but it didn't seem to bother him.  Nick said he was gonna have to start teaching him how to stick up for himself and fight back. LOL!!! He was just kidding in a sence and there will be plenty of time to teach him when to stick up for himself.  We have been wrestling with the idea of starting to potty train Blake.  There are so many different type's of potty training chairs, its overwhelming!  We have decided that when we use this last box of diapers, we will start trying with him on the potty.  I am sooo nervous!! AAAAHHHHH!!!  As for me, I'm just enjoying being a wife and mommy.  I have a spa day coming up that is much needed.  I can't wait!   Nick wanted to try a crawfish pie recipie so I'm gonna get off and go ahead and make the filling part ( it says it can be made up to 2 days in advance).  That way this evening all I have to do is pour it in the pie shell and bake.  Hope everyone is doing good.  See you soon.....

New to this!

What a weekend!  We finally had some warm sunny days!  Blake enjoyed himself so much that it didn't take him any time to go to bed when it was time.  There is one thing he is battling right now that keeps him from playing to his full potential.....ALLERGIES!  Nick and I have made the decision to start Blake on allergy shots.  The allergies he tested the worse to are unfortunally year round allergies so....he never gets a break from sinus problems.  And with that comes more steriods and antibiotic's.  YUCK!  We hear many good things from people with toddlers on the shots and hope that we have the same good results.  Otherwise, he is doing very good in school and learning more and more words to his vocabulary.  He has recently gotten interested in crayons and we love to see what he scribbles.  Nick, as you all know, is trying to get into Nurse Practitioner school.  He is taking Advanced Pathophysiology and so far loving it.  This class is a required class.  We will know his fate hopefully the first week in April.  Please keep him in his prayers.  Work for the Respiratory girl's is very BUSY.  That's a good thing because we are finally getting our overtime, but a bad thing because we are still working short handed.  No complaining here though.  Overtime looks ssssoooo good!  Gibson and Gracie both are loving life!  They too are enjoying the warm days.  We had to sedate Gibson for his shots the other day, but it went so much smoother.  That is the way to go every year.  Gracie is still on her seziure medcine and looks like she will be for the rest of her life.  When we accidentally run out, which the vet says never do, nine times out of ten she will have a seziure.  They never last long but it's still scary for everyone.  We had Easter pictures made of Blake Friday and he did so good.  We can't wait to see them.  Better end this post for now.  I could go on and on.
