Lots going on!!!!

WOW! Has it been awhile or what?  I have gotten lazy with this blogging thing.  I can blame it on being a busy mom but gosh I wouldn't change anything about it.  Let me catch you up on some things.  Way back in May, Blake turned 2 years old.  We had the grandest get-together.  This years theme was John Deere tractors because he is so into riding tractors with PawPaw and daddy.  We had a mid afternoon party with appetizers galore.  It was great times with everyone.

As most of you know by now, I have decide to return back to school and persue diagnostic medical sonography.  Most of the classes are online and I can sit for my board exams after I get done.  This will take me a year and a half including some pre-req's that I am having to take.  This is a BIG step for me.  I never anticipated EVER going back to school.  But I have decided that it can't hurt me but only make me better.  I will be more hireable and hopefully make just a little more money.  I started my summer off with Physics to which I have struggled.  Thanks to Nick, Kristi, Mother and Daddy, I don't think I could have made it through it.  I will be done with that class Sept. 24, THANK GOODNESS.  Then from October to December I will be taking medical terminology and medical ethics.  Bring it on!!!!  Then hopefully in January, I will be able to start my ultrasound classes, given that I pass all of my pre-req's.  Thanks to yaw that have helped me get through Physics.  I couldn't have done it without yaw, literally.  I will have to go and do my first 3 weeks at the school in Spanish Fort, AL.  This is, what the director describes as "ultrasound bootcamp" where we will learn the basics of the machine's and scanning procedures.  I was approved to do my clinicals at Baptist which I was relieved to finally hear about. I know I worried my instructors to death about it.  Sorry guys:(  Unfortuanly, I was advised by the program director to go PRN with my current job which I wasn't to thrilled about.  But I have faith that everything will work out.  It's gonna be tough but we will make it through the next year.  As for Nick,  He is re-applying to NP schools.  Among them are MUW, again, and Arkansas State University which is an online NP program.  Some of the girls at work are doing it.  Gotta love online schooling :)

Moving up here to Columbus was the best thing I did to start a new chapter in my life 5 years ago.  Gosh, its been that long ago....doesnt even feel like it.  I came out on top with a wonderful husband, a second family, a career, a sister as my neighbor (well almost), 2 dogs and a WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL son.  Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be where I am now.  I am so blessed and love each and everyone one of yaw.  I left my passion's back HOME though and I have always been trying to reignite those since I have moved up here.  One of them, my horses, will be here in due time.  I just know that.  I miss them so much.  Just being able to go and saddle up when the stresses of life gets you down.  Thats my stress relief.  One day, though, and I look forward to getting Blake into riding also just like he has picked up guitar playing with his daddy.  I am awaiting Spring to see if Sweet Pea is going to be a mommy.  I CANT WAIT!!!  The other is ballet.  It has been awhile since I have taken ballet and have missed it since we quit several years ago.  Emilee's dance studio that she goes to has just hired and instructor from Florida.  Kristi and I were talking about it one day and I just so happened to mention that it would be neat if they started teaching adult ballet classes.  Kristi said that she thought that they did and persued to finding out.  So here we are, Kristi and I, taking ballet again at 30!!! I am sssssoooooo excited.  The class we are in is actually a "pre-pointe" class and I really look forward to getting back in pointe.  That is my goal.  So until our horses get up here, ballet will have to fill the void.  I am so fine with that!!!!

Hope everyone is doing ok.  We love yaw all. Bye for now :)

Spring time.......

I love Spring!  The new growth, the babies, the sunny and warmer weather!  This is my favorite time of year and with it come's new goal's to reach.  This is my New Year Resolution time!  As most of you know, Nick did not get accepted into Nurse Practioner school at MUW this go around.  Although he did miss the deadline for UMC, we both have decided that it would be best for him to try out of state schools.  Among them are AR, SC, NC, LA, and TN.  We know the obstacles with out of state schooling but we are prepared to face them.  We have decided that Mississippi and Alabama are very competitive for advanced schooling so therefore he is gonna try his hand out of state.  Please continue to pray for him.

Blake is growing like a weed.  He continues to fight his allergy shots but once he is stuck and given a sucker he has already forgotten about them.  I think they have made a world of difference!  Easter came and went so fast.  Mother and daddy came up and enjoyed the weekend with us and Kristi's family.  We did birthday stuff for me, Kristi and Daddy.  Saturday we dyed easter eggs, and let me tell ya, it was a mess.  Blake was more interested in putting his hands in they dye then actually coloring the eggs.  He thought throwing them was more fun.  LOL!! I won't ever forget that yaw!  Saturday afternoon after the kids nap's we hid and hunted the eggs.  Blake wasn't to interested and we actually had to show them where they were.  Either way it was a BLAST!  Sunday morning we got up and Blake was excited to see what the easter bunny had left him.  Other then the grass left everywhere, he was interested in everything in his basket.  We then went over to Kristi's house and had a big breakfast.  Mother and daddy got off fine, around mid afternoon and we hated to see them go.  We ended Easter weekend with MiMi, Grandmama and Grandaddy.  Blake had a ball going through baskets left for him and of coarse playing outside.  It was a busy weekend but the memories will last forever!!

We are in the process of planning Blake's birthday.  He will be 2 and every bit a 2 year old toddler.  We will have it at our house again this year.  It was a good time last year (other then the rain) so we thought that we would give it another whirl.  I tried my hands at a cake last year but we have decided to let a bakery do it this year.  Let's put it this way....I was not meant to be a baker. LOL!  We can't wait though, to get everyone together again.  Well, I think I have covered everything.  Hope everyone is doing well.  Love yaw!
