Well third quarter is over with!!! Yay, 3 more months!!! I passed with another "B" for the third quarter. I had the choice of taking the first part of my Ultrasound registry (Sonography Physics and Instrumentation or SPI for short) now or wait. Well on top of a portfolio being due, a poster project being due, a second power point interesting case being due, class assignments and tests I decided to give the test a whirl. Whats one more thing added to the list right??? Anyway I borrowed some peoples study materials (review books, textbooks, flash cards, mock tests etc), studyed for awhile in between other things, went and took the test and PASSED!!! Yep I did!! I am half way registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. I cant wait for these 3 months to come and go. Believe me, this career change path is worth it but gosh I'm getting to old for this!!! No more school for me after this!! I will have 2 wonderful medical careers under me and I cant wait for the world of possibilities that the 2 degrees will give me and my family. Thank you everyone for all your love, support, and help. MWAH!
Blake is growing like a weed!! We finally have him potty trained. He does wonderful and goes like a champ. We tried to get him into pee wee football this fall but he was still a little to young. That would have been adorable, Blake playing football and Emilee cheering him on as a cheerleader. Yes Emilee is a peewee cheerleader. To bad Blake is still to young :(, maybe Alyssa can cheer him on. School is going great with him. We still have some good teachers and bless them for instilling such important education into our young'in.
We had our yearly family beach trip mid September and the weather was great. We spotted dolphins just about everyday we were there. The first couple days we were there the waves were so calm and you could go out in the water pretty far. The jellies were not as bad this year but there was still some. One to many for my comfort, yuck. We were back and forth between the beach and the pool with Blake. Oh and the spray ground too. He loves them all!! Sunday the waves got pretty rough and there was the purple flag for dangerous marine life but we never found out what that was so we didnt linger near the beach too long that day. It was a good relaxing time off and I look forward to enjoying more next year when I dont have tests or boards to worry about.
Nick is doing good. He is still working his Saturday, Sunday and Mondays nights. He's enjoying the peacefulness of the night shift and the 2-3 days a week schedule. He doesnt feel like he's workng his life away. During some of his days off during the week, he has been able to go down to Natchez to help mother and daddy move in to town. That has been a huge help to them and I am thankful that he was able to do it.
Hope all is well with everyones family.
Love and God bless,
Kara
