We (Pennington/Parker families) actually celebrated on July 1 due to everyones work schedule. We grilled out, went swimming, played in the sprinkler and in the end shot fireworks. Blake was absolutely TERRIFIED!!! I tried holding him outside while we watched the men manage the fireworks and my poor baby was literally shakeing. He spent most of his time inside. These pictures were taken July 4. I finally talked him into holding the sparklers after standing at the patio door trying to show him they weren't loud and wouldnt hurt anything. He slowly warmed up and came on outside and in the end, enjoyed the whole experience! Maybe baby steps next year ;)
